Mefite

E’ una discesa nella valle dell’Ansanto, luogo tanto caro a Virgilio e meta di passaggio per le popolazioni migratorie.

Dea della transizione, Mefite, è il più celebrato santuario della divinità nel mediterraneo in epoca antica.

E’ luogo di transumanza dove si incontra una natura mutabile e inafferrabile in attesa di venire fuori.

Qui niente è occultato, assistiamo a un continuo processo di morte e di vita e il divenire delle forme nel tempo.

Le fotografie realizzate non hanno alcuna enfasi e concessione narrativa ma rappresentano trasformazioni sospese tra ciò che sono e il divenire, tra ciò che più non è e ciò che non è ancora.

Il mio interesse si rivolge, dunque, verso uno studio delle forme del corpo, alla possibilità di “ridisegnarsi “ o di “rigenerarsi” ad una nuova esistenza o , come in questo caso, al destino che la chimica naturale riserva alla vita.

Mephitis

It is a descent into the Ansanto valley, a place so dear to Virgil and a transit destination for migratory populations.

Goddess of transition, Mefite, is the most celebrated sanctuary of divinity in the Mediterranean in ancient times.

It is a place of transhumance where you can find a mutable and elusive nature waiting to come out.

Here nothing is hidden, we see a continuous process of death and life and the evolution of forms over time.

The photographs taken have no emphasis and narrative concession but represent suspended transformations between what they are and what they are becoming, between what is no longer and what is not yet.

My interest therefore turns to body shapes, the possibility of "redesigning" or "regenerating" to a new existence or, as in this case, to the fate that natural chemistry reserves for life.
